These are the schemes you do not want to be associated with. It is obvious you want to be with a program that offers high quality product that you will readily endorse. The growing number of those who have joined already and are succeeding is proof enough that there are reliable and quality affiliate programs out there.

Why participate in an affiliate program?

An affiliate program allows you to work part-time. It gives you the opportunity to build a generous residual income. And it makes you an owner of a small business. Affiliate programs have already created lots of millionaires. They are the living testimony of how hard work and continuous prospecting and motivating or training others, pays off.

If you decide to join one, you must take note that you are getting into something that should be patterned to what you are capable of. This will assure that you are successful.

You might just share a concern I have. Many of the eBook sales pages on the internet talk a lot, and go on and on as you scroll down, but have little of real substance to say. Rob Benwell, in his Blogging To The Bank eBook, claims to have grown his blog business up to $500/day in just 30 days. While much of what he has to say is good value, his methods include a couple of techniques in steps 4 and 5 that appear to be in the "black hat" category. There is speculation in some forums that his blogs have been penalized recently by the search engines for using these techniques, so be careful if you plan to follow all of his advice.

How do you interpret these claims?
Affiliate marketing is like any other business, with both revenues and costs. Work hard at it and be persistent, and you can earn enough profit to make a very good living. With a bit of luck and talent, its a business that has a big potential upside, one that could make you rich.

When we have spent some time commuting to and from a nine to five job, and dealing with the inevitable internal company politics every day, many of us start to think about what would be a better way to make our income.
